Submission for our Peep Diorama Contest has started!

Last year we had a lot of fun when we held our first Peep Diorama Contest so we decided to make it an annual event!

The idea is to use marshmallow peeps to create a diorama inspired by your favorite book, movie, or video game! The peeps are the characters! This is a contest for all ages.

To help give you an idea of what you can do, please see my example of the classic “Charlotte’s Web.” This is a great children’s book and the original animated movie based on it (made back in 1973) is one of my personal favorites. I looked at images from the movie and made a diorama inspired by it – and renamed it “Charlotte’s Peep.” Please see my images below – the first of the actual movie scenes followed by my final product.

There are some basic rules and guidelines to follow – the entry form along with those guidelines can be picked up at any of the service desks in the library. Entries will be accepted Monday, March 4 – Monday, March 25. No late entries will be accepted.

Entries will be displayed on our website as well as posted on the library’s Facebook page. The dioramas will also be displayed in our Meeting Room A for voting on March 27 from 5:30-7:30pm and again in Meeting Room B on Thursday, March 28 from 9:30am – 8:30pm for viewing.

Prizes will be awarded and winners need not be present to win.

If you have any questions, give us a call or stop in and see us!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with! Good luck!
