For some of you, this image is all I need to say.
Yes, that’s right. This isn’t a dream. This is indeed real life. Adult Swim announced a little over a week ago that Samurai Jack is returning to TV in 2016 with its original creator, Genndy Tartakovsky!
For the rest of you who aren’t currently as hyped up about this as I am: what’s Samurai Jack? Who is he? Why should you care??
Samurai Jack is a show that originally came out in 2001 on Cartoon Network as one of their Toonami shows and was cancelled long before its time in 2004. It follows the adventures of a Samurai from feudal-era Japan that we only know by the name of Jack. However, this isn’t like InuYasha where the majority of the show takes place in feudal Japan, oh no. Poor Jack gets transported into the future by the evil demon, Aku, before he can defeat and prevent Aku from destroying everything he knew and loved. Jack is determined to find his way back to his own time period.
In 2016, we’ll finally get to see the continuation of this amazing show.
There’s plenty of time to catch up guys on the show and refresh your memories! Check the DVDs out today!
