April 22, 2016 – Blackout Poetry
Usually a poem is full of words and phrases that you create. Blackout poetry is all about the words you choose to obliterate.
Directions: Take one of the printed pages. (Please don’t take them out of the books! ;p ) Choose which words you want to leave visible and which words you want to cover. You can cover them by simply blacking them out with a marker or you can use any number of colors, materials, and designs to cover the chosen words. It’s completely up to you.
Entries can be left in the comments below, emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or dropped off at the Vortex desk. All entries must be received by 2pm on Friday, April 29. Winner will receive a snazzy journal and pen set!
