Superhero Drawing Contest! Submission has started and goes until September 5th!

Our Teen ComiCraze is on Saturday, September 10th and we are having a Superhero Drawing Contest that will be voted on at that event! Now yes, you can do a drawing based on an exisiting character, but we’d love to see your original superhero creation! Please make your drawing no larger than 11″ x 17″ inches. You can do it black and white or color – use markers, crayons, colored pencils – whatever you like! Submission is from August 20th through September 5th. Please bring your drawing to the Teen Services Desk and fill out an entry form. One entry per person please. Winner will be announced near the end of the ComiCraze event and the winner will win a prize…

SO WHAT IS THIS COMICRAZE I KEEP MENTIONING?

Well, are you a graphic novel fan? We’ll celebrate our love of comic books and superhero characters throughout the afternoon with various activities. From 1-2pm, vote on the Superhero Drawing Contest, sign-up for the dabate and meet some of your favorite characters in person! Don’t forget to bring your camera! At 2pm, we’ll begin our “Why My Villain/Hero Would Ruin/Save the World!” debate followed by a light snack. At 3pm, SUPER BINGO starts. At 3:45, we will announce the winners of the drawing and debate contests and at 4pm, let the movie begin!
